PRESS RELEASE: Gary Cordery Challenges Gubernatorial Candidates To Independence Day Debate

Today, Republican candidate for Governor of Hawaiʻi, Gary Cordery, a successful businessman and entrepreneur, challenges all republican gubernatorial candidates to a debate at the 50th State Fair in Honolulu on July 4th.

“I firmly believe every gubernatorial candidate should be able to confidently represent their policy positions and have the courage to defend those positions on the debate stage,” stated Cordery. “Our government needs more transparency and accountability, which is why constituents must hold their elected officials responsible for their stances, starting on the campaign trail.
The first Amendment of our amazing Constitution protects our right to express personal and political views. Exercising this right, which so many have died to protect and defend, is an honorable way to celebrate this cherished holiday.

The people of Hawaiʻi have the right to hear from their candidates regarding this state’s most pressing issues. I hope to see all gubernatorial candidates on July 4th.”
