Veteran And Chief Cyber Strategist Endorses Gary Cordery For Governor

Today, Republican candidate for Governor of Hawaiʻi, Gary Cordery, a successful businessman and entrepreneur, was endorsed by James Jaeger, Air Force Veteran and founding partner & Chief Cyber Strategist at AreteIR.

James Jaeger is the Chief Cyber Strategist for AreteIR Incident Response. As a founding partner, Jaeger’s thirty years of technical and leadership experience in both the federal government and industry have been invaluable to AreteIR. He has led incident response and forensic investigations into some of the largest cyber breaches to impact the US and international organizations. Prior to joining industry, Jaeger led key US national cyber programs during his 25-year tenure with the Department of Defense and the National Security Agency. Jaeger retired from the Air Force as a Brigadier General in 1997.

Jaeger established and led General Dynamics’ government and commercial cyber defense and forensics business practice, where he personally directed investigations into some of the most complex network intrusions in world history. Jaeger has worked closely with the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and United States Secret Service (USSS) on these investigations. He is frequently called on to brief federal regulatory bodies such as the Federal Reserve, Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Office of the Comptroller and Currency (OCC), and the British Financial Services Authority. Jaeger was also appointed to the Rhode Island Cyber Commission by former Governor Gina Riamondo where he developed plans and programs to accelerate the growth of the cyber sector and enhance the protection of citizens’ information.
